Schools
Wick Heritage Museum has developed positive links with Wick High School
and the town's four Primary Schools - North, South, Academy and Hillhead.
Under the direction of school staff and Wick Society volunteers, groups of
pupils visit the Museum's displays. They are encouraged to engage with Wick's
rich history as part of their education.
One of the highlights of these visits is to look in on a small schoolroom of the early 20th Century, complete with desks,
writing slates, school books and the dreaded punishment 'strap' (tawse).
